"New Posts" Filtering?

Would there be any way to indicate which sub forums you did or did not want to see new posts in, when you hit the new posts button? For example, could I choose to only see a list of new posts in the General and Technical 1-Series sections, but skip the Market place or Universal areas? Meaning not even see them in the list?

It would be a nice feature! Or - if it's there now please clue me in how to do it.

Thanks!
