What car? I had DWS06 for 8k miles and been driving on AS 3+ they're no match to DWS06 in the rain and much noisier IMO

Just swapped out some AS3+ for some proper Continental Extreme Contact Sport tires and couldn't be happier. The AS3+ were just awful on my M235i.

Had the AS3+ on the 1er as intermediate tires, and currently have them as summer tires on my winter car. Agreed, they handle well, but they are the loudest tires I have ever owned. Even louder than my Hakka winter tires.

DWS def had weaker sidewall, but DWS06 improved tremendously!
I won't deny the AS3+ is a better summer tire than DWS06

DWS06 ?
I think he is talking about the new Sport tire. Arguably a better tire than the Mich Super Sport.

DWS 06's are greatly improved over the original DWS's.

Indeed, that's what I'm talking about. The ExtremeContact Sport tires. Great tires. BMW runs these at the Performance Centers (east and west) and they were fantastic. Anything, honestly, would have been better than the AS3+ I had before. The drone those things made on the highway was unbearable. I'm surprised by all the comments on how quiet they are. They definitely weren't on my M235i.

525i: Have had Continental DWS 06 on the car for 2 years, love them. I had the first gen Michelin PS AS prior to that (2013), they lasted about 8,000 miles over 2 years and had tread separation on both front tires. (I realize they have improved since)

Currently on my 19's I am on Michelin Pilot Sport AS 3+ not as sketchy as MPSS in rain but not as confident as DWS06
MPS4S are much better in the wet than the MPSS... and in the dry too.

Ditched the 20" / RFT's that came stock. New Vorsteiner wrapped in 21" MPSS in 10.5/11.5 = makes wallet sad.

To be honest I haven’t done a huge number of wet miles - California doesn’t rain that much. However, when I have driven in rain, the RE71R’s have felt confident and grippy. In contrast to my other car which has Pirelli Corsa’s, which I feel I have to be much more careful in the wet.
