Tesla Roadster Solid State Batteries

So it appears the next gen in battery tech is solid state batteries which perform better than Lithium Ion and are safer. They charge faster and have more capacity and the solid electrolyte is less prone to fire. Maybe this is what is in the next gen roadster? Will these batteries lose capacity over time?
