Unlimited $.05 coupons at Target

So it looks like when you specify how many bags you bring at self checkout target gives you a 5 cent discount for each bag. So what if I input 100 bags? If I input enough bags I get my stuff for free or Target pays me if it's more than what my stuff costs?!

No, you get arrested for theft and your life is ruined. It's like making a bank deposit, claiming it's a check for a thousand dollars, when it's really your lunch receipt from a taco truck.

Best case scenario: when they realize you didn't really bring in a hundred bags, you think quickly enough to say it was inadvertent.

Some things simply aren't worth the risk.

And why do people always try to rip off crappy stores, like Walmart, Target and warehouse grocery stores? They're also the ones that go after shoplifters and other thieves, like people who do fraudulent returns, the most aggressively.

If I was going to roll the dice on committing a theft, I'd at least want to get something worthwhile.

Exactly just say I input 100 on accident. Anyway I was just there and brought more bags than I needed for two items so I said three bags and it gave me credit for three but I actually had more. Didn't end up using any of them actually. So three bags for two items it was okay with this. I doubt I'd get arrested especially cuz I claimed fewer bags than I actually had but surprised it let me claim three for two items.

Ten cents probably isn't going to be an issue . When you start trying to claim you had enough bags to get that new 60" TV for free, I think some alarms are going to go off... and you'd better have the bags with you.

Are you gonna try to change your nickname to dime-bag? This would certainly be the most unusual version of that.

Or the system simply wont give a discount on anything over X number of bags. That's what I would do if I was Target anyways.

Could they alter it so it pays out 5.00 instead of 0.05? I mean, committing wire fraud for a nickel is crazy, but for a whole 5 bucks, sign me up!

Back in the day (waaaaay back) we used to take a marker to the upc code bars - it creates an error, then you only alert them if it rings higher than the original. I'm guessing the return on time invested was about what we could have made as migrant laborers, but the thrill of beating the system was a hoot.

Trying to figure out ways of taking advantage of Target for $5? I don't care if you do it but it seems pathetic to me.

You realize that if you went to Target 10 times and did this every time you would end up with $2.50? Huge score.

Yeah but you take those $2.50 every month and invest them using the guidance of the OT and in 50 years you'll easily have a couple million!

And when your friends or coworkers accuse you of being some stuck up snob driving a BMW, you can tell them that really, most of what we do is get together on a forum and try to figure out ways to scam Target out of 50 cents (that and what the best oil is, right?).

BMW owners are way above using coupons, we take it to another level, the amount is the same but we scam them for our 25-50 cents. Coupons are for losers.

You might be surprised they might not have that in the system and you get tv for free I purchased something from a retailer online using gift card . I got the item but decided to return it to the store. They refunded me much more than I paid and the guy looked and I asked him : why am I receiving more then I paid ? He had no explanation and I had more money
