I once had running shoes with those Goodyear aquatread soles and I bet continental offers or offered soles for shoes.

Retread sandals, is that what you guys are talking about?

I went to Saucony outlet last night. Tried both Ride 8 and 9, and ended up with the 8 as the replacement for my 7. The 9 has the "everun" tech in it, but wearing one on each foot I could tell I really didn't like the 9.

The 8 is an improvement over the 7 in that the tongue actually comes higher than the top lace when tied down tight.

I'm wearing the 8s today at work to break them in. . .

Recently bought the Brooks Launch 3's, they just "launched" the 4's so they have the 3's marked down to $65! The most comfortable shoes I have ever owned and great for running!

Garage List
Based on 2 competitive marathon runner's suggestion I tried Newton running shoes a while ago and won't go back to other types. I find it more comfortable and challenging than my normal brooks/asics/NB that I was using.

It apparently helps fix your stride as well so you do not have knee issues (which a lot of are from landing on your heel due to an extended leg).
