Who else uses the app Untappd?

I drink whatever is readily available, right now a winter lager at gordon biersch in the airport, pilsner before. both pretty good. dont see why to have an app for it.

It's a free country, you don't have to have an app, it's there if you want it. It's like a Facebook for beer drinkers, since I don't have the Facebook, I use Untappd and share with my friends all over the world.

I know what you mean about drinking what's readily available, but when you're at a Belgium beer fest (for example) and there are 200 beers to choose from, it helps to know where to start. At an average of 9%-11% alcohol , you don't have a lot of chances to test each one in one sitting.

Understandable, but what exactly does the app do? It just logs what you drink and share with other people on the app right?

Idk, i usually forget what I drank after like 15 minutes. Never really go back and redrink stuff.

It has several features; it allows you to rate the beer, post a pic of it (so others can see if it's a dark, medium, light, blonde etc), make comments about it and you earn "badges".
It's not for the person that drinks the same beer everyday, more for people that like to try a variety of brews.
Oh and it helps you remember what all you had to drink the night before and if you liked it or not. Hah!

I use it occasionally. Usually the next day after I've been out to upload pics and rate them.

Haven't tried it but use a similar app for wine (Vivino).
