I see more than just wannabe M cars in here... wannabe AMGs, etc... i think its funny what people will do to acknowledge expensive branding, so much that BMW is taking notice to cash in on the public perception of M.

Let's face it, to an enthusiast these markings signify the car manufacturers enthusiasm and we strive to achieve the highest form of it. It does require money, and wannabes are easy to spot like anything else that's publicly desirable.

Pound for pound a 340i m-sport is not the same car as a M3, and begs the question "why didn't you just get the car BMW made for enthusiasts" if both owners are enthusiasts = Money

This thread is simply a spectacle of those facts, and hilarious.

I see these around all the time. It's funny, because there's no longer really a age correlation or certain stereotype that can be associated to people who put fake/incorrect badges on their cars.

Still could be. maybe he/she got in a accident, repainted, slapped the badge back on and couldn't find legit mirrors. I didn't get out and examine it, but the mirrors tipped me off.

About a year late here...but where did you see this car?! Has to be the same one Ive seen in West Hollywood. Has some other Hyundai accents on there somewhere too, if I remember correctly.
