Got a Ticket - HELP!
Hey Everyone...I am new to the States from Canada...I now live in VA. Well I went to visit my family and got a ticket on the way back from Toronto yest in Pennsylvania. I was going 82mph in a 65mph. The trooper reduced it to 75mph. Anyway the ticket was $130. A few questions....
How many points will I lose? Will the insurance company "punish" me more for getting a ticket in a differant state? Thx everyone! M.

i know they do increase your premium at some point after you have a speeding ticket but i'm not sure when.
i think speeding 10mph over the limit is 2 points.

getting a ticket in a state outside your home state will still go against you and your insurance. point systems vary by state though. ask about traffic school, and if so, check to see if you can do it online. good luck.
