Window tint above a certain %/rating the state deems acceptable, is illegal in almost every state. It is completely illegal to have ANY tint on front windows in NJ. Although one caveat, most cops dont care as long as they can see your face thru the window. Can we just be friends bro? So mean....

Thats the other thing....you just dont see old people or even just regular people with window tint here. Its just not common. I doubt he would have felt red flags if he just passed any car with tinted windows and chrome rims (a dime a dozen in NJ).

It sounds like it was the ACTIONS the other driver took (the K turn, stopping in the middle of nowhere, following him after he passed them, etc.), was what caused the red flags to go up.
