codes and the such like OBD
so a couple of questions
1> retrieving OBD2 codes 2> coding so I understand the cheap readers don't read the bmw codes, or at the very least only if the CEL is on, am I looking at "arm &a leg" territory for a code reader? I want to be able to read the code, possibly reset it, is it cheaper to get a program and a kit to interface to my laptop? with coding is it easy/hard to do, not something I really want to play around with , but as a tinkerer, the thought had crossed my mind, can you screw up the brain, by wrong coding, can you back up before working on it as I'm in the great white north, anything pertaining that way works better txs |

Hey there,
many of us use Carly. For more info check my vid in the sig and dont forget to use the 5 Euro coupon code. Understand that you have two ways to order the dongle: 1. can order over amazon BUT BEFORE you do that send an request containing the coupon code 4ZECQD to trainer@mycarly.com then Carly will send you an special 5 Euro coupon code for amazon. 2. Order directly from their ivini-tech.de side. You can do that directly in their shopping cart or As "guest" Fill out shipping info, billing adress etc then as the last step click onto overview & contractinfo and fill in the coupon code I've mentioned. Its an OBD2 WIFI reader clearer and coder. Operated with your phone wether Android or IOS based. Just load up the app on your phone, get yourself the Carly OBD2 reader and welcome to the club! Just FYI, there is a coding sub forum. Here in Off Topic, we talk about non-car stuff.
