I think the M4 would be lucky to split the two Porsches' lap times. It's likely that the GT3 RS, at more than 300 lbs lighter, and about 60 more HP would deeestroy the M4, and the GT4, at nearly 400 pounds lighter and down 60 HP would be competitive. It'd be down to tires.

That is just conjecture, skewed towards your biases.
I would want the actual test. The GTS numbers do look promising.

M4 GTS not withstanding, I'd take the GT4 at half the price of the GT3, especially with that 6MT.

Great comparison. Holy Jesus that GT3RS is amazing. Like others have said, I'd still take the GT4 at half the price. My guess is the M4GTS would best the GT4 by a second or two but I do not see it beating the GT3RS in any way. Hopefully we find out soon enough.

You can't go wrong with either Porsche
Nevertheless, between the two, I would still prioritize the Cayman GT4 over the 991 GT3 RS because: 1) MR chassis layout & 2) Manual Sure PDK is faster and removes the driving hassle but imho, the manual has that analog feel of enjoyment |
