Does anybody know when is new X5 5.0 V10 will be available ? I also heard that 3.0 turbocharged will be available at the same time ... is it true ?

V10 definitely isn't happening now that the TT V8 is out.

+1...the TT V8 has a lot more usable power so it's better suited to X5

Just read today in one of the magazines that it will be V10 with 500hp ( M5's engine )

The N64 will be the top dog engine in the X5, and that rumored and spied X5 M........well I have no clue what they plan on droping in that or weather they plan on dropping that car, period. But its not going to be a " X5 5.0i with the M5 engine it in"

i dont believe what these BS'ing magazines have to say about ANYTHING. Official company press releases, actual spy shots, and auto show debuts are the only things I believe in. Oh, and I dont pay attention to any of these "auto magazine's" car reviews either.........so biased and so inconsistent amongst eachother (one says the 335 over heats and is terrible, while the other says its the best car ever, while the other says a g37 is better, meanwhile another joker is saying the 335 is better........and so on, as is with every car they "review"). Top Gear and Fifth Gear are my only two sources for review.

An M version of the X6 seems very likely since the X6 is the most performance orientated car BMW offers thru their X range.
X5 won't get a M version, this means also no V10 for the X5.

I would be surprised to see BMW taking on the likes of Porsche with an X6M. Why do something which if it doesn't achieve the desired result against the Cayenne Turbo could in the long run damage it's image. BMW on the whole out sell all it's main rivals without resorting to such things.

They don't need it in my opinion.

The S85 V10 would be a complete mis-match with the X5 / X6.

The N54 will be the based engine and the new N64 V8TT will be the big engine for the X6. The N64 will likely be introduced in the X5 too.

I don't understand all this talk about the new V8TT becoming the X5M... the new V8 will surely replace the current 4.8, not get slated above it.

If BMW does in fact release an M version of the X5 (which I highly, highly doubt) then the engine will not be a turbo (M has stated various times it's sticking to NA for the time being, which includes this generation of vehicles) and will have more power than 400hp.

yea, im going fucking nuts and pissed as fuck about the fact that its been 2 months now and my car is still not back from the body shop for such an easy operation. I could murder someone or punch through a fucking wall right now.
