Movado Bold TR90

What is everyone's opinion on this? Movado Bold TR90, with a stainless steel band.

Do you think it would work as an everyday watch? Maybe even a professional/business watch?

I just ordered my first digital watch, an Olio. Maybe I'll DD that. I found the metal band one, may go with that. Olio can get DD duties.

Don't know where you live but if you can find a Movado Company Store nearby, I would go there to see what price you can get for that watch.

I recently went to the one near me and saw the Bold line of watches. To me, it wasn't interesting enough to ask the sales person to pull out of the display case. I already own a Safiro in the Museum line.

But why I say to go find a Movado Company Store is they are running a pretty crazy sale which is ending on the 30th. I looked around the store and didn't see anything that jumped out at me. But one watch did make me want to take a closer look.

After the sales person told me what the final price was with the sale, I couldn't say no. So I ended up buying it. The watch retails for $395. The lowest ticketed price was $259. The sale they're running is to take 50% off the lowest ticketed price which made the final price $129.50. Even paying sales tax, I felt it was a heck of a deal. Amazon is selling the same watch for $296.25. http://www.amazon.com/ESQ-Movado-073.../dp/B00J0C6IYQ

If you don't have a Movado Company Store near you, I'm pretty sure you can call the store and do a phone order. The catch is they'll have to ship to your billing address of your credit card and they charge $15 for shipping. Let me know if you want the number to the Movado Company Store I used.

Found a link which lists all the Movado Company Stores in the US:

http://www.movadogroup.com/movadocompanystorelocations/

One thing to clarify about the sale is I don't remember if it applied to all the watches they have at the store. I think it did. But can't remember. Another thing I forgot is if you by a second watch, they'll take an additional 15% off. I may go back in there before the 30th and see if there is something else I might want and see if they'll still do the 15% off.

never been a fan of the Bold Series. They just feel/look cheap IMO and I cant justify spending the $500 or so they want for them. I love all the other Movados though and have about 10 different ones.

Stopped over at the Movado Company Store near a client site I was at today. Verified the the current sale and it's 40% off for Movado branded watches and 50% for ESQ. But both qualify for the additional 15% off if you buy two watches.
