What's going on with Piloti Shoes?

I have owned many pairs of Piloti shoes in the past (still do). I have been looking to buy a new pair in size 11 for a few weeks now and can't seem to find one anywhere. All that's available with most retailers are small sizes.

I decided to try to buy them from Piloti directly and tried their website. However the check-out process from their website cannot be completed...

Then I just tried to call them at 805-494-0756 and the number is disconnected.

Are they out of business? That'd be a shame.

Thanks.

ps: Does anyone know where there are size 11 Pilotis still available?

They declared bankruptcy a while ago. Go with Simpson or Sparco.

They are out of business. Try Alpinestars

Thanks guys. I had not heard. That's a real shame. They were awesome shoes.

The other brand mentioned are nice, but what I liked about the Pilotis was that they could be worn around the office. Alpinestar and Simpson are very track focused. Any other brand that would be a nice alternative to Piloti?

If you want stylish you can spend a bit of coin and go with Santoni (partner with AMG) or Porsche Design (made by Müller & Meirer) or Sabelt (partner with Aston Martin.)

You can see them all here: http://www.luxist.com/tag/DrivingShoes/

Get yourself a set of these:

Joking aside, I have Sparco shoes and they are great. They surely don't look good, but at track days who cares about being stylish?

Where did your girlfriend find these shoes??? They were supposed to become available a while back, but were never released according to every retailer I contact. I've spent a good bit of time scouring the internet searching for these shoes the last few months and the only thing I came up with were sizes 5 and smaller that are leftovers from many years ago.

So I FINALLY found a few styles of Piloti shoes available in a high-end catalog that I occasionally get, and they're literally TWICE the price I had paid for them in the past! At $150+ a pair, they're going to be right back out of business in no time.

Nice selection there, but at twice the price of the original, I'll pass. If I'm spending $150, I want a $150 pair of shoes, not a $75 pair with a 100% markup. I'll stick with Puma until they get off their high horse.
