And I thought German cars depriciated the most
Wow, interesting list, only two real German cars (the Smart isn't a car, it's a deathtrap go-kart) and they aren't even near the top. No Audis or BMWs made the top ten period.

that is wierd. I was looking at a countryman (mini is on the list) for my wife yesterday, and apparently that car is a KBB resale value leader. makes one wonder.

Cool.
A car's depreciation is simply dictated by the market. With the exception of any sort of outside shock (take a look what Cash for Clunkers did to the used car market and how badly poor people got screwed), a used car's value is simply based on how badly other people want it. You see a significant drop in value of European cars after their warranty expires. No one wants that shit. There's a reason why a 1998 740i with 120K miles is cheaper than a 1998 Honda Civic with 120K miles. |

It's a soccer ball for tractor-trailers in America...

A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."
