Now I get it. BMW didn't fall all over themselves to jump on the CarPlay / Android Auto bandwagon because they were working on something *better*. As in not forcing users to aim their fingertips at small icons on a distant touchscreen. Voice and gestures are probably safer and definitely easier.

Glad to see it.

I think it is an F01 with a new screen.. An in-set screen wouldn't work for a touch screen. I guess the toaster style screens are here to stay
Is it not an F10?

Gesture function in Samsung smart tvs is tiring and clumsy to use

Have you even seen Apple CarPlay? Combined with Siri hands free it kicks BMW's gesture thing out of this league

Looks like VW debuted gesture control in the Golf R too, at CES.

I actually like the "toaster" style Nav. It sits up higher, for better visibility. If you think the ones in BMWs look bad, check out the latest models from Audi/Merc.

F10 doesn't have an exposed Nav screen like the pic.

It's not the G11, so I guess it's just a mock up of the F01 or F10 (I can't really tell the difference) with a modified screen.

Check the video again, it's not a real car just seat and dash that are part of a demo display.
