Mercedes Demographic Trophy Wife or Grandpa

Which demographic do you think buys more Mercedes? Is it the same demographic as Bmw or Audi? Or is there a major difference in people who buy each brand?

Something like this car,

This article states a younger demographic has begun buying more Mercedes. I find this hard to believe. I think Bmw and Audi cater to the younger generation more significantly than Mercedes!

As someone in there early 20s. I can say not many people my age like Benz. There are a few cars like the c63 BS that are pretty cool. Audi and BMW just offer more sporty looking cars. I am just basing this off from car guys I talk to.

I sat through a Mercedes sales training presentation back in 2007, and they said their target demographic was 50+ year old wealthy white men. Not making that up. Maybe it's changed in the last 7 years, who knows. Anecdotally, I do see some younger folks interested in the brand, but it's usually just the AMG's.

I agree about the younger folks interested in the AMG brand, but most AMG models are $60k plus.

I think Bmw and Audi are fighting for the 25-35 generation but maybe Mercedes can join the fight.

They already have.

The CLA was their entry bid. I think it's working.

But does the CLA offer a similar all around package as a 335i or 135i?
