The return of the coolant gauge on new BMW models...
Recently I found out that on the new Active Tourer, BMW has seen fit to give us a COOLANT GAUGE!! An electronic one, but never the less it's a gauge!
I can only hope that in the future, other gauge options can be displayed like oil temp. Also... I hope this doesn't end up like the return of engine oil "dip sticks" on the BMW's that share MINI engines. I was hoping that the x16i's and x18i's would be the start of the dip stick return. Only to see it was bc BMW was using an old designed engine in those cars. New coolant gauge in the Active Tourer...

Cool, but built-in coolant temperature gauges have been electronic for like 60 years now. The BMW ones have just had a needle rather than a bar graph.

The engines are designed and built by BMW. Mini has shared nothing with BMW it's the other way. If it was left up to Mini they would still rattle and have cheap plastics and a Neon engine.
