Cool Heading out on a journey

Hey guys, Ii'm heading out for a trip in a few weeks to europe and I'm trying to gather a list of camera stuff to bring.

So far I have:

Small single sling backpack
T3i
18-270mm
50mm
Flash
Cleaning kit
2 rain ponchos
16gb card
1 battery
Charger (with travel adapter)
USB cable
remote trigger

I'm thinking I'll need 3 more sd cards and 2 batteries. Anything else anyone can think of that I might be missing? I thought about my tripod, but it weighs about 4 lbs and I don't feel that carrying it around would be any good for me.

As a European, don't flash that crap around in remote areas of touristy places such as Florence. Just a friendly tip

Oh that much I know, I just have it in my back because it takes up almost no space. I'm also thinking of leaving the flash since most places don't allow the use of flashes.

I would take the flash for night snap shots, backlit shots that can use fill flash, etc. Lots of use beside the inside of places.

Also take a small laptop or a dedicated SD card backup. Has much more storage (unless you're purchasing huge SD cards) so when the cards fill up you can back up to it and keep using them.

If you bring flash, bring (or buy there and keep in backpack) extra AA batteries for the flash.

I bring my tripod everywhere, but for lighter traveling one might consider a monopod that is compact to store.

And, bacon jerky...

One extra battery at most.

We're leaving next week for two weeks in England. I went wide to semi long. Got the gripped 5D MkIII, the non-gripped 6D for backup, and for lenses the Tokina 16-28, 24-105, 24TS-E, Siggy 50mm 1.4, and the Canon 70-200 2.8IS, plus my Canon 2xTC III. Also my CF travel tripod. Several extra batteries and my Lee Filter set round it out. It makes for a heavy backpack, but we've rented a car and I'll have a smaller shoulder bag for walking around, so I won't be hauling the full backpack much. Going to castle country in the northeast. Can't wait. I just hope the weather cooperates.
