What weird sports do you have in your area? We have:

Cheese Rolling:
This has been going on for at least 200 years, and may date back to Roman times. The course is a 1in2 slope (1in1 in places) about 250 yards long down which a 7 pound Double Gloucester cheese is rolled. The aim of the race is to catch the cheese (that will be doing about 70mph at the bottom). There were calls to ban it because of the number of injuries, but so far the popularity of the event has prevented this. First one to arrive at the bottom wins the cheese, and normally a trip to hospital.

Shin Kicking:
Held as part of the Cotswold Olympicks, there are the usual rural sports, but the highlight is the Shin Kicking Championships. Contestants hold each other by the shoulders and kick each others shins until one falls. Each round is decided as the best of three bouts. The only protective equipment allowed is as much straw as you can pack down your trousers.

Woolsack Racing:
Conveniently the course is a 1in4 hill about 280 yards long that runs between 2 pubs. Competitors run carrying a 60lb woolsack (35lbs for women and children).
