2014 Gumball3000 - June 4th (Starts in Miami)
I hate to do this and you all are probably sick of seeing my name in these threads but I just had to do it one more time for now. When I said in another thread that there's a lot happening in motorsports over the next few days, well, I wasn't lying.
June 4th is the official start date of this years insane Gumball3000! "On Wednesday June 4th, supercars, superstars and fans will gather on Miami's Ocean Drive as the city prepares for the start of the 2014 Gumball 3000 Rally. Among the palm trees, sunshine and white sand, Gumballers can expect a hot Floridian welcome. The whole of the famous Art Deco strip will be taken over exclusively by Gumball cars - and it's set to be the city's event of the year. The launch party will be a truly Miami experience, and our star performers will make sure the 2014 rally starts with a bang as champagne flows and Gumballers get ready for the week ahead. On Thursday June 5th, it's time to start your engines as the rally officially gets on the road and starts the first leg onwards to Daytona Speedway." Flag drops on June 5th SCHEDULE: Miami - Daytona - Atlanta June 6th: Atlanta - Charlotte - New York City June 7th: New York - Scotland June 8th: Edinbugh - Manchester - London June 9th: London - SECRET - Paris June 10th: Paris // Circuit D'Alb - Barcelona June 11th: Barcelona - Gumball Boat - Ibiza IBIZA is the finish line Here are some of the entries: Yes, this is a Batman Tumbler Deadmau5 call this his "purrari" This is the Abarth 695 Biposto and is the "official car of the 2014 rally":

Today is the last day of the Gumball3000 so time to recap.
Before it started, the Batman Tumbler had to drop out due to mechanical problems. That's a nice way to waste $60K on an entry fee. First, check out this Lexus IS. Doesn't look like it even has the F pack, right? It doesn't need it. The dropped in the Toyota 2JZ motor and then bored it out to 3.4L and bolted on all kinds of mods so it now puts out just over 700HP at the rear wheels Here it is on South Beach Here's the start line. The South Beach, Miami pics are in post #5 below I I V They stopped in NYC before flying to Scotland: and then they stopped in Edinburgh Scotland. Then London where David Hasselfhoff got nabbed for speeding in his new KITT Deadmau5 was banned from driving on roads in France Finally rolling in to Ibiza this evening around 6-ish or whenever the Ferry can cross the water:

I wish they still made episodes of the Gumball..they kinda still do it now but the production quality is terrible. The G63 6x6 is my favourite but I wonder how long it took before the front lip of the Z4 GT3 got torn to shreds.

I just got finished watching the dudesons 3 part video for their gumball experience. Still more to come from them as well. they were driving an Escalade done up like an Elephant.
I was going to try and go down to Atlanta for their night of fun there, but daddy duties were more important. Thanks for sharing all the pictures! |
