Well, it is that time of year again to begin discussing the 24 Heures Du Mans. I do not know how many that visit this area of the forums are interested in 'the 24' but if there is anyone, just know we are only 2 weeks away! This is an FIA World Endurance Championship sanctioned event with other stops during the season, this being the 3rd stop. This track is Circuit de la Sarthe, in Le Mans, France and is the 82nd anniversary. The remain races at COTA, Fuji, Shanghai, Bahrain and Sao Paulo will be 6 hours long.

This Sunday is the official test day. So every team needs to be there to get their drivers some laps. This is the best race of the year in motor racing. Now with Porsche joining this year and Nissan just confirming they will join next year this is only going to get better and better.

Now we just need to get BMW to stop kicking the LMP1 tires and join in already.

Strakka Dome LMP2 has withdrawn from the race because they has a serious accident recently at Spa:

Aston Martin Racing is in the garage in Le Mans!

Oh man I miss this so much. I used to drive to this from London before I emigrated to Seattle. What a blast, about 50000 Brits would flock over to this in convoy! The tent area was so much fun. Lots of exotica parked up beside the tents and once the beer was flowing all hell would break loose. Fantastic! Even my wife had a great time.

It will be odd to see Audi without McNish, but interesting to see Porsche in P1 with Weber. Favorite race of the year, but I hope the coverage improves.
