Cool Video- driving up a ski slope
Not sure how many of you follow Jon Olsson, but he does some pretty awesome things. This is one of his latest videos driving his Rebellion up a ski slope:

Epic.... ? Don't think so. Best part was the audio, of the car only.

Making videos that are shot the way this one was shot are so easily accessible to the masses these days, that anyone will use ANY excuse to upload another video online. The effects, the way it's shot, the panning, the overall look and feel... I'm so tired of it. |

Then don't watch said videos. I fail to see how videos shot in this Top Gear-esque fashion are so easy for the masses to shoot themselves unless every aspiring director has access to a helicopter. Sure there are drones with cameras readily available, but they probably can't fly fast enough to keep up with the car.

Yeah, I agree with Mr Tonka. If I had known this post would have started a thread about what's the difference between a cool vs. epic vs. being tired of all these videos, I would have posted more. I don't think the masses have easy access to drones or helis to shoot videos, at least I don't. Jon Olsson does things on the extreme and has money/access to these things. As a fellow car enthusiast, I thought it was cool- I was "CLEARLY" wrong.

My comment about epic sprang from the last bit of the video when someone said on the radio "that was epic, lets find some steeper slopes."
It was a cool video, but i didn't agree with the epic comment from the makers of the video.
