It's not that. Most of the Eastern Europeans that have a powerful car, are very aggressive in traffic. They have no respect for the other drivers, they are the worst jerks you've ever seen, and will stop at nothing: bullying, racing, crossing (not running, mind you) the red light, intimidation within 1" of your car if you don't let them cut the line, slightly hitting you, etc.

It's a combination of having no respect for the law - because if you respect it you are considered an idiot - and aggressiveness borne from poverty.

I drove in that environment for 15 years, so I know.

So many bad X5 and X6 drivers it isn't even funny.
Russians seems like they have a monopoly on crappy BMW drivers, and they are approaching if not surpassing the Chinese as the worst drivers.

From a recent article. Remember that Russia is a very corrupt country:

An estimated 1.5 million stolen cars are being driven around Russia. The BMWs, Mercedes, Bentleys, Cherokee Jeeps or Humvees are often stolen to order in western Europe or the US, then brought across eastern Europe's porous borders.

Customs officers are paid off and the car is resold, with a new set of documents often supplied by enterprising police in Russia. The vehicle is registered in the name of someone who has died, or a homeless person.
