What to do in South FL?
Vacation time soon. Looking for ideas of new things/places to try. We definitely want to hit Key West (We've never been to that part of FL) so things to do/places to see/eat in Key West would be good as well, thanks.
I want to go deep sea fishing, but don't know what charter companies are the good ones/don't cost an arm & a leg. |

many nice places to eat some great seafood. use trip advisor, go to the highest rated restaraunts. I can't think of any off the top of my head except mrs.mac's kitchen. it's not in key west, it's in key largo i believe. (2 spots) awesome food.
i wish i could help on the fishing, i'm hoping to do that asap |

A few ideas of things to do in S. Florida. If you are Motorsport minded,,,,
Airboat tour or the Everglades Go check out South Beach in Miami Check out either Palm Beach International Raceway or Homestead Raceway Go snorkeling There are so many Keys to check out other than Key West, But KW is fairly historic. The inter web is your friend. |

If you go to Key West, and like forts and stuff, there is another key with a fort on it in Dry Tortugas National Park - I've not been there but you can google it / check google earth and see the structure. I think it's a couple hour boat ride from Key West.
No idea on fishing or food in Key West, though. If you plan to spend any time in Fort Lauderdale, check out the Water Taxi. You can get to 10 common spots and the boats go in either direction. You'll see stuff that you won't see traveling by car. |

If you walk up and down Duval St., which is the main street where everything is happening, there are many good places to eat on Duval. Also north Duval street and hang a right on Front street there are more restaurants that over look the Marina. If you're a NASCAR fan, Rick Hendricks yacht is there. One spot i enjoyed was Caroline's, which was on Duval across from the Hard Rock.
If you walk to the end of Duval street, walking North, you'll come to Mallory square. Just before and after sunset there are some really cool street performers they do some great acts. You got Fort Zachery on Key west with a beach to hang out on, a aquarium, para-sailing, Hemmingways house. There is a airforce base near by so you can keep an eye out for jets flying around (more on the beach area) And there are many charter boats/deep sea fishing boats that go out daily. I did a half-a-day for Tarpon trip with my father and brother had a blast. Best bet that we did was we found a tourist kiosk on duval street got some info from them on the charter boats and we went from there.

The rental skis are so boring they are so weak they loose speed in turns but in full disclosure I owned a worked rxp that did 75mph
if you are going to rent skis down there go over to stock island prices are much cheaper

Paul George likes to impregnate attractive strippers (usually an oxymoron) when he visits.

They aren't going to be priced like if you went to stock island. Cocaine on the other hand may be more available in those areas, which is recommended while you use a waverunner.
