Any idea why they don't like Android?

So all Android users are not BMW drivers

If you look at the demographics of BMW buyers and smartphone buyers there is a much larger overlap between BMW and iPhone than BMW and Android. The majority of Android "sales" are low end media phones and those people are not generally driving a BMW.

Also, developing car integration for Android isn't really possible. You don't develop for Android, you develop for Galaxy S4, Galaxy S3, HTC One, Droid, etc. Fragmentation is very real.
Good point. Besides, android need to do something about all those damn malware vulnerability issues. I know all phone have them but android is the worst.

I assumed he had "BMW Apps"...but you are correct. If you have (or ordered) BMW APPS....plug-in your iphone...start the app in questions (Ex. Rhapsody)...find your app in the iDrive Multimedia screen.

Here's an excellent explanation found on Youtube:

i found another BMW app, it's called BMWhat and lets you read out fault codes, clear them and also has some rudimentary coding possibilities too - fortunately this one is not only iPhone but also available on Android

I don't like the idea having to switch mobile phones just because I'm driving a BMW
