Anyone who can hook me up with a Car Rental Deal?
Will need a Minivan for about 3 days mid July. Mother in law and sister in law coming from Europe and thinking about taking them to Vegas! We are 7 total and need and bigger car than SUV.
Anybody here who has a buddy who can hook me up? PM me please! Thanks! |

I'll rent you my friends mini van. You'll have to pic it up in FL though and it's .22/ mile plus $29.99/ day; includes 200 miles. Add $6.99/ day for insurance. Just let me know the dates and i'll reserve it for you.
In the mean time, you may want to post this in regional forum. You'll probably receive less sarcasm.

Maybe a friend will swap cars with you? Not sure how to get a good deal on a rental. Good luck!

Believe it or not I got a great deal through Hotwire one time. I was traveling to San Fran and was renting a car for 5 days. Hertz and everybody was in the $400 range. Hotwire had a thing where you pick the car you wanted and prepay, non-refundable, and you don't know which company it will be from, but everything will be guaranteed. Price was almost $200 less then all the car rental sites. I figured I'd give it a shot, and it turns out my rental was through Hertz.

Check slickdeals.net. Avis has a coupon but it will expire on 6/15/13. You need the car a month after that. I was able to get an SUV for 4 days over Memorial weekend for $130. Normal rate was about $400+.

I always reserve online at Enterprise or Alamo. It's way cheaper than Hotwire or any broker site.
- Unless you are flying in, never rent from airports. Look for little rural location. - Call the location & ask for a deal. (Doesn't work most if time but what's to loose) Some car rentals pick you up from your home if within 10-15miles.

I found that the deals were much better last minute. For our wedding in 2011 on Kauai, I booked an SUV with Alamo like 4 months ahead of time for about $400/wk. As it got closer and closer the deals kept coming to my email and by the time of the trip it had come down to something like $129/wk for a brand new Grand Cherokee.

Im happy cuz I called my buddy at a collision center for Mercedes Benz and hooked me up with shop rental for $43.00 a day for a Minivan. Basically they gave me shop rate instead of retail rental rate. He hooked me up long time ago to fix my BMW for a door sratch I had. I am taking him for luch today!
I can also pay when I pick up. SWWWWWWWWEAT! Thank you all for your feedback! |
