Levis studied what the "high-end" brands were doing and copied it successfully and then offered a fit for just about everybody. If you want to look like you are wearing girls jeans, they have that. If you want to do the raw denim fetishist thing and wear your duck butter into your jeans and never wash them, they have that. If you want to do the 12 inch rise 501 thing, they got that too. They even maintain stock for people that still wear carpenter pants.

I only wear jeans in the winter when bumming around but Levis 514s fit great and look great. Why spend more?

I have noticed when on the DC metro that just about every type of person from hipster to urban youth that is wearing jeans is wearing Levis.

Plus nothing says "high school" like those busy back pocket designs on some of the more fashion forward jean brands.

yea i know. I shop lucky just because I like the fit better. I grew up with levi's and never was impressed like i was when i put the lucky's on. I always found levi's to hug my nuts either to close and really loose, never just right.

BR and Bloomingdales for after work or weekends and S Cohen and Ralph Lauren black or purple (made to measure or custom) at work.

For me I very much like to look at my work clothes as a uniform and keep things as classic as possible while bringing a bit of personality with the tie, pocket square and socks.

When I'm not at work it's usually chinos or jeans and a sweater or cotton button down. I love BR's soft-was shirts. They're cheap, comfortable, and don't require ironing or dry cleaning!!!!

I go for style rather than fashion. Which I guess is why I'm drawn to BMW aesthetics rather than whatever is trendy to drive at the moment. The design language seems timeless to me and every model seems to age with poise and grace rather than ever looking old or dated or flat out silly like some other manufacturers.

When I was growing up Levis were considered a cheap brand without style that my Dad might wear to mow the lawn. Now they are worn by just about everybody; I wonder how they pulled that off, somebody deserves a promotion. Reminds me a bit of Ralph Lauren perhaps on a more limited scale -- in every single market segment they are the leading brand, from outlet store merchandise all the way up to the Purple Label stuff.

I keep trying to like BR. Like the simple styles and colors and the option for 'Tall' sizing for sweaters which are usually always too short. Dislike their overuse of cheap materials -- everything has acrylic. Would pay 2X their normal retail for tall sizes in decent quality wool or cashmere without the crappy fabric. Acrylic makes the garment wearable only until first wash or dry clean. Even Gap has learned this in recent years.

I won't argue with you on the BR pseudo "wool" they use in sweaters. I stick with the cashmere or merino wool at Bloomingdales or Nordstroms. You can spend 130.00-160.00 on something that will last 10 years rather than 60-80 on something that will fuzz out after one winter. I can't complain on sizing though. Their soft-wash shirts fit almost as well as my tailored or custom shirts and they wear well. I'm only 5'10 though. BR Jeans also fit me better than any 200.00 pair of jeans I've tried.

I am 28yo and shop mostly at

Casuals: Calvin Klein, GAP, Banana, Levi's,

Shirts: Macy's sale, CK
Trousers: Macy's sale

I hate any branding on shirt or tee's. No logo too.

As other were talking about, I hate back pocket embroidery. It really gives an impression of high school jeans.
