can not tell what the true damage was to the cab or livery car since rescue workers tore it apart, but look at the BWM it the livery car was no match for the BWM since the two idiots walked away. I am amazed how well the BMW hold up in accidents

The Camry was T-boned... you're taking the strongest part of the BMW against the weakest part of the Camry. While the BMW is a safer vehicle, it hit it at the angle that would cause significantly less damage on any car.

Meanwhile, police said the registered owner of the BMW, 29-year-old Takia Walker, who was not in the car, was charged with insurance fraud on Sunday in a scam involving the car.
A source told The Associated Press under condition of anonymity that Walker bought the car legally -- or willingly used her identification for the purchase -- then gave the car to another man. The middleman wasn't driving at the time of the accident, and had either lent or rented the car out to the driver. Acevedo, the man believed to have been driving the BMW at the time of the crash, served about eight years in prison on a manslaughter charge in a shooting death, and violated parole once after, according to a state department of correction spokeswoman. |

Acevedo had been arrested for drunken driving and released without bail just two weeks earlier, after he was picked up by police at 3:15 am. Feb. 17 in Brooklyn, according to court documents. He had a blood alcohol level of .13, far above the legal level, and told police he had had two beers at a baby shower at Sugar Hill Club, court documents show.
