Kind of a mutt for me. I have Cannondale Badboy.....mountain bike frame but less weight and something closer to road bike wheels/tires. I can swap them out for chunkier wheels/tires, though, for off-road/trail use.

The setup of that bike leads me to assume you are at least 6'2", it looks like a large.

Haha no, I'm 6' even but I have a 34" inseem hence the seat being up so high. Just leggy! It is a large however.

Lots of good options but specialized, trek or giant would be easy low cost mtb to start with.
