Things to do in Dallas, Tx
Hello OTer's
Asking for suggestions. Every 2 years, my college roomates meet up as a mini reunion. This year, we are meeting up in Dallas next week. Just want to ask for suggestions for things to do. Can you guys/gals offer -good places to eat? -good clubs? -good activities? The trip is in 1 week. Thanks in advance. Slam |

Staying downtown? Dallas is sort of like LA (I've lived in both) it's huge. Will you have a car? The Stars are playing Edmonton on Thursday and the Mavs play the Lakers this Sunday, if you care at all.

There's a Sunday afternoon Stars game against the Blues, if you miss the Oil. The Dropkick Murphy's are playing the House of Blues Tuesday night, but it sounds like you won't be here yet. Also Tame Impala is playing a smaller venue, the Granada on Wednesday, but it's sold out and probably before you'll be here. |

Thank you everybody!
Litos--haha funny stuff! Originally we were planning to do some very stereotypical stuff (like shooting automatic rifles and stuff), but since Sandy Hook, none of us really want to do that anymore. |

Check out http://www.dallasobserver.com, you'll find some good info there.
What is the general age of your group. That might help determine what would be the most fun for you. We wouldn't want to send you to a hip hop yuppie club if you're in your late 40's, I doubt y'all would enjoy that. A lot of stuff is always going on in/around Victory Park (American Airlines Center) Gat-Splat can be pretty fun if you're into paintball. It's about 15-20 min from where you'll be at. You might think this is a gay suggestion, but if y'all are down on getting some spa time in, Spa Castle is pretty legit. I went there on a Saturday at about noon and chilled in pool area and there was quite a few hotties hanging around getting drinks. I believe its a hot spot for bachelorette parties before they go out at night. It's also a hot spot for couples though. I was there with my lady, I still couldn't help but to notice the ladies in bikinis. Again, Spa Castle is a about a 20 min drive though. |

@RambleJ, @SAM135iAM @ForEvere92- given that this is a guys weekend, it is implied that the ballet would be in play. The over/under on posts was 12 before a gentleman's club would be mentioned! (I thought that Litos was going to going to mention on post 10) What night? It may be Thursday night after Stars game or Friday. I'll post one more time to confirm time if you're serious. If you show up, we'll do some Jaeger bombs. If it gets out of hand..we'll make it rain on stage (!). Look for a brown guy, a yellow guy and a white guy.
Re: Spa Castle--would be odd for 3 guys to show up without chicks? |
