Can anyone recommend a good can opener?
I'm looking for the best out there, I'm NOT looking for electric though. I have only used the Swing-a-way ones. Anyone have experience with the Oxo Good Grips Smooth Edge Can Opener? I'm leaning toward that one.
http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/prod...2742371&RN=754 Since have a lot of fans of German products on this website, has anyone used a WMF can openers, like this one on Amazon? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...lance&n=284507 |

Well, the best would definitely be made by Victorinox, the makers of Swiss Army, but I'm not sure if they make can-openers. They make silverware, though, so maybe you should check them out. I was on their web site, but I couldn't find anything about can openers.
They aren't a German company, but definitely central european with an awesome heritage. |

I have the OXO i-Series can opener: http://www.chefscatalog.com/catalog/...code=6w2pfd225
Probably the main difference between this and the other can openers mentioned is that it has a magnetic lever which attaches to the lid of the cans so that when you're done opening a can, the lid won't fall into the can and make it a PITA to remove. Furthermore, you don't even need to touch the detached lid as all you need to release the lid into the trash can is a little push on a 'button'. My big bro gave me the can opener as a Christmas gift several years ago. Cheap bastard. |

If you have Sirius, this may work too.
Note: This is not bluetoof technology. |
