Yeah, it's not overpriced. I notice you have been deciding on a car for about 8 months now. 135i is a good choice.

Well I have 3 others right now, so I don't exactly need to buy anything tomorrow. From reading the specs the 135i fixes most of my problems with the 335i, so I think I might hold off and go for one of those. I've always considered waiting for this car or the new STI or EVO. I just didn't want to wait that long. Besides... after watching your amazing procede videos it's hard for me to want a car that doesn't have a BMW TT6

Great, you'll have to post some photos and vids when you get your 135; since you can't afford a Cayman S it is an excellent choice.

I could get a Cayman S if I really wanted to, but that would mean selling all of my other cars or having a bigger monthly payment than I want. I guess there is no shame in not being able to afford a Cayman S when I can afford what is apparently the pinnacle of all super cars... an automatic luxury 3 series with an ECU modification.

As I said and seems you agree, you cannot afford it, but the 135i you may be able to afford and will be an amazing car...probably perfect for your budget.

P.S., don't forget that if your situation permits, you could get an e92, but the 135i will be quicker than the e92...from your post here: "I think there is a reason Porsche makes more money per car sold than any other company. The e92 is definitely more car for the money. It is difficult to spend more money on a naturally aspirated car that's slower and has way less standard equipment."

I don't remember when I said that, but I think you must be taking it out of context. The e92 is far from being anything that could be called a sports car. The reason Porsche can charge what they do charge is because they can strike a balance no other manufacturer seems to be able to. Their quality control is also exceptional. I could buy any car they sell and not feel like I was getting a bad deal. I might have also said this before I realized you could get 12% off a new Porsche easily when all you can get off an e92 is a grand or two. You seriously should go take one for a test drive and you will find out why that guy who started the boxster thread traded his e92 for one and couldn't be happier. The jury is still out on the 135i. If it has runflats and runflat tuned suspension I might change my mind. I need to see it and drive it. On paper it looks very promising though.

Indeed. Some of their accessory prices are down right laughable. That's why if I go the Cayman route I will get a lightly optioned car. I think there is a reason Porsche makes more money per car sold than any other company. The e92 is definitely more car for the money. It is difficult to spend more money on a naturally aspirated car that's slower and has way less standard equipment. I guess every car has its drawbacks. I just have to choose the one with drawbacks I can live with.

Right, so despite its price the Cayman was a car that I felt had fewer drawbacks than an e92. This was before I thoroughly looked into the pricing though. You can get a very steep discount on a Porsche if you know what you're doing. I would never try to argue that Porsche (or BMW for that matter) gives you the most car for your money. The value and build quality for the money award goes to Honda in my book. If the 135i is as good as I'm hoping and as cheap as some people are speculating it will be a pretty sweet deal though.
