Any of you seen the BMW i8 concept cars? Do you guys/gals know if there is a chance that the concept cars actually become a real model? Because... well I think I want one!!!

The i3 and i8 are due to go into production around 2013 I think.

I heard on the German TV and radio during the IAA...

i3 = 40K euros, 0-100 kph in under 8 secs, 170 km range on one charge, and top speed of 120 kph, rwd all CF body.

i8 = over 110K euros, 0-100 kph under 6 secs, 250 kph, three cylinder hybrid engine, rwd hybrid.

Hmmm... $153,900 Canadian/US... A bit pricy... I will have to save alot... Wonder if my wife will agree! Hehehe.

I dont know that it translate sthat way. I saw the Panamera turbo in Stuttgart with a sticker for 190k euro. Its not 300k+ USD

The i8 electric hybrid sports car will launch in 2014 and the i3 electric vehicle launches earlier, in 2013.
