Radiohead

Listening to King of Limbs Live from the Basement and various other live shows. I've been a fan since Kid A and I've seen them live twice. Their sound is just as innovative now as it was ten years ago.

Has to be the greatest band of my generation.

I'm a huge fan of Radiohead and prolly my favorite band. Seen them over 10 times and each time is more epic. Definitely one of the best live bands. Not the biggest TKOL fan but I'm sure my views will change when I see it perfomed live. Been a fan since The Bends (best album IMO from them). Rumors has it that they will headline Coachella next year. Oh, don't miss them to perform on SNL this Saturday.

That's some bold words to place PH up there but Creep, Lurgee and Stop Whispering are my faves. OK Computer, Kid A and In Rainbows also top the list.

Meh I felt like they took a weird turn starting with OK Computer. The Bends and Pablo Honey are how I remember Radiohead (also probably because I was in HS/college when I was big into those albums). I do like the newer stuff, but it is not, IMHO, legendary.

Again, that's just my opinion.

They should be touring soon but if you live in NYC, they're performing at Roseland Ballroom. Wish I can attend. Tix go on sale on Monday. GL!

It's a good opinion.

Anyone who listens to their first two records and then the rest will notice a dramatic shift in their sound. IMO, this is what makes them so good. Their ability to constantly, and successfully, evolve thier sound.

I hear you. They definitely shifted from rock only and infused the electronic element into their music. However, they pioneered this style and it's common now in music. That's what makes them so great.

+1

It's also worth mentioning how they apporoach the business aspect of thier music. They offered In Rainbows for whatever you wanted to pay for it. Juxtapose that against the (percieved) greed of the music industry and it looks 10x more awesome.
