I find it rather odd that you haven't spoken in 7 years. That in itself should make you quite cautious.

Good luck. Keep your expectations low, especially for someone you haven't talked to in forever. If someone from high school confessed their love for me right now after not talking to them for quite some time, I'd laugh in their face.

If you weren't in love a few times when you were younger, then that is surprising. I was in love with my third girlfriend when I was six years old (she was eight). That became a two year relationship.

We had a mock wedding, etc. (no Honeymoon except first base in the back seat of an old car). We were in love even at that very young age.

When I was 13 years old I had a much stronger love yet, and this time for a girl my own age. That love lasted for five years, but she was not in love with me and not the only relationship during that time.

teenager yes- but I dont think one can really "love" at 13. Sure you have crushes or that feeling of love but I think 13 is way too young to even comprehend what love is. Heck, many older people still dont even know what love is. At age 13 one is just hitting puberty for Christ's sake.

Im not laughing at the OP, I just simply thought that at 13 YO, Im not sure if one can even differentiate love and a crush.
