Aluminum, I'd like to see it with some 60's Detroit cast iron big blocks.

Cast iron tends to be pretty brittle. I'd expect similar result.

Go cut some aluminum like butter with a chop saw spinning a carbide blade then try it on a cast iron pot. It might be brittle but a lot harder and denser than Al.
