Saw a neighbor cut down all his trees except one and that one later fell on his neighbor's new truck. Never have trusted evergreens.
Glad no one was hurt. Hopefully you can get a contractor to fix it quickly. Around here it would take months.

Looks like it was a tree from the neighbor's house... Does their insurance cover the damages if that's the case?

I mean that if the tree had fallen a few more degrees to the right it would have hit the first story on a main beam of the roof, as well as that bit of the second story. There's no telling how much more expensive it would have been with a tree that big.

nice house and yes.. fuk the trees. they are nice but wouldn't want them to be close to my property. Take care and hope the weather will hold up before they cover up the damaged area and protect it from rain etc.

I have seen this before, house builder go into a plot of land take down trees to put up house then you get some rain and a little wind and those trees which are left can not hold themselves up and fall on to the house.
Most time the trees depend on the trees around them to help them not get blown down. Once you remove many of the trees the remaining one do not last long. the wind brings them down or the house builder damage the root systems they can not hold themselves up. if I was you I would take down the other one as well they will not last long and may fall on your house in the near future. From the looks of it, it appear they are your neighbors so they may want to take them down if they do not want to pay for damage to your house. |
