Blue Watches And Othe Cool Ones

Blue seems to be a hot color again. That's not a bad thing. Here are some that I've come across recently.

Praedo - Pilot's watch (~$300 - automatic) - http://www.ablogtowatch.com/praesto-...-watch-review/

Pita Oceana - (~$3800 - $18,000; multiple metals including Ti, strap colors, etc.)

Prometheus

All the best.

i really like the blue face on the Super Avenger....if i get sick of the white one i have now, ill switch to blue.

My next watch purchase is going to be an AP, but I cant figure out if i want the Navy Themes or Montauk Highway, both gorgeous in blue

Navy would be my pic. That light blue is just dreadful to me. Suum cuique. In all fairness though I'm not a ROO person. I'm all about uncomplicated pieces.

All the best.

You crossed my mind when I started the thread, but really I was just looking for a place to put stuff as I come across it. And I know you want something dressier than the ones above.

I check out new watches almost daily and I forget as many of them as I remember and my own picture files have become unwieldy. So, why not share. Mostly, I want to remember brands more than specific watches. If a brand makes one good looking or interesting watch, usually, they make another too.

All the best.

Yeah you have watches on the brain worse than most here have cars on theirs. I'm waiting and looking still. Pontos or trainmaster still seem good options.

This is cool because the numbers rotate and the dot moves and the hour numerals turn right side up to tell you what the hour is. The minute hand does what minute hands always do. As one-hand watches go, it's quite easy to figure out.

Badollet

The curved case necessitates the movement being separated into two sections as shown. I also like that the tourbillion is visible only from the back.

I like Lum-tec. One because they make good products, but also because they do a decent Panerai homage. Cushion cases are pretty cool too because they wear large but don't have to be large to do so.

All the best.

Perrelet: Known best I suppose for their turbine design watch, but that's not all they make.

DMH - starts around $2500 or so.

Fred Dingemans started d.m.h. (Dingemans Mechanische Horloges) seven years ago; his mechanical watches incorporate 1970s-era old-stock Tenor Dorley components that are disassembled, cleaned, oiled and then reassembled for use. He makes the rest of the watch in-house on restored antique machines. (Hannah Elliott)
