4200 stuck on ship, no power, no food, no water, no plumbing, people shitting in bags

4200 people on board this ship for the past 5 days, no power, no food, no clean water, no plumbing..people were shitting in bags and throwing it in the hallway...title might be a little bit sensationalistic, but while this shit was going on, the CEO was enjoying basketball games and partying and shit...

me and my gf cruise all the time, i can't imagine what these people are going through, what a vacation huh

this is what people were fed, this reminds me of when i was in a refugee camp coming to America, wait, this is much worse

I've cruised with Carnival 3 times, and the rest on Royal Caribbean, definitely devastating if it happened to us. 5 days adrift at sea with no plumbing and AC? Wonder why the government didn't intervene and force Carnival to fix the situation immediately instead of having the ship towed....that ship weigh like 300 million lbs, it's gonna take forever

Oh shit man, please tell me everything...we were about to go on another cruise to Bermuda in May, so we'll have to put that on hold...

We cruise a lot because i eat like a pig, and there's a casino near our rooms, and lots of drunk girls that falls all over the place and exposing panties...

This is why I never cruise with older boats. I try to stick with 2005 and up cruises.

Engine caught fire on first day of voyage, ship lost all power, the plumbing i guess was powered and therefore stopped working as the pump cannot pump shit out...

As for comment on why not shit/piss off the side of the boat, there are over 4000 people watching, and women do not have dicks that they can just stick overboard and piss, and no way to shit...i couldn't shit infront of people

What is the other option besides towing? The ship wasn't sinking, so towing it to a port is the best option.

When a ship is disabled and freely floating around with no steering or anything you can't safely pull up another ship alongside it and offload passengers. One small movement and the walkways between the ships could collapse sending anyone on them into the water, then you really have a mess on your hands.

hmmmm you're right, not docking side by side...but you can load them onto a transport boat, the ones that u get off the islands with, and put the passengers on a vacant sister ship...just do anything to get off that ship...

each of those transport boat can hold 300 passengers, do that 10x and everyone's off, as for the luggage, tell people to put it all on decks and they'll grab it eventually, just need to take passport and ID with them...

1st of all stop thinking it's the government's idea to take care of everything. When it gets to the point that the government takes care of everything you'll wish they weren't.

2nd, what a bunch of pansy bitches our country is populated with. OMG, 5 days without plumbing and AC!?!?!? What ever will we do!! There's not but a few people on that boat that going 5 days without food would do them good.

What's the big effing deal? Accidents happen, deal with it.

Relax buddy ...I grew up in Vietnam and I've had it much worse, what sickens me is that multi billion dollar industry doesn't spend the necessary money to rectify the situation immediately...there are many kids and seniors on board, not just able bodied strong men like us. You gotta feel for them
