Getting started in SCCA?
Can someone help explain to me what has to be done to enter scca solo and scca road courses with a full race prepped car, either fully built street car or full blow formula/prototype racer? I\'m looking at getting started in some of these this summer. Thanks for any help!

Take a look at the 2012 solo rules, SCCA has a ton of different classes:

SCCA Solo is the least expensive way to start, requiring something like $40/event if you have a helmet (some regions have loaners). Best way to start is to visit http://www.scca.com/solo and find fellow drivers in your local region.
Best not to throw money at your car until you understand the classing system and what you or your car needs. |
