300 hp Sport Wagon to America!
But not what I had hoped for. The 2008 5 Series wagon is now going to be a 535 with the twin turbo as the only engine available. Damn that hurts. No indication that they will offer it in the E 91. I think BMW wants to create a greater distinction between the 3 Series and the 5 Series other than size, because of the much more expensive 5 Seies (can we all say $55K?).
I'm not sure they fully appreciate Audi's aggressive marketing stategy - a performance car with choices vs. BMW one size fits all when it comes to Sport Wagons. There is not just one kind of person that buys a Sport Wagon. My preference is not hauling kids around in it, but rather hauling around in it period. The question is do I really want to drive a 5 Seies Sport Wagon just to get the 300 hp Turbo? |

It might not even be that much. Supposedly, the difference between E60 and E90 is only 60lbs.
Update: Unladen weight E91 328xi: 3814 lbs. Unladen weight E61 530xi: Manual - 3858; Auto - 3891
