Parking Ticket Question
I recieved a parking ticket at my school this past Friday. I was looking at it this morning to see where I would have to go to pay it, and I noticed that the police who filled out the ticket wrote down the wrong license plate number. Do I still have to pay this or could I avoid payment?
I think it is ony a $15.00 fine so it isn't a big deal, but if I do not have to pay it then I don't want to do so.

Is there anything else on the ticket to indicate it's for your car and not the one he wrote down? I'd think you'd be off the hook but I really don't know what I'm talking about to be honest.

The only thing on the ticket is my plate number because I was parallel parked. I had left my hang tag in the consol because it is not required unless parking in one of the lots. My meter ran out about 15 minutes before I got out of the library.
It has 3 of the numbers on my tag mixed up. I would go ask, but I'm afraid they will try to make me pay while I am in the building. Maybe I'll go ask later today.

If you don't pay the ticket and they know its you, you might have problems registering for future classes and stuff like that. At my school if you don't pay a ticket they put a hold on your record.
