So I just watched the news and....
A senator in the NYC area is proposing a law to the senate, to ban talking on cell phones/listening to ipod's/texting on cell phones/or basically do anything with an electronic device while crossing the street. If you are caught there will be a $100 fine
For those familiar with the NYC area, can you even imagine walking down the streets of manhattan and not talking on your cell phone or listening to your ipod??? I personally feel naked with out my cell phone and I consider my ipod as a part of my body. On the flip side we are expecting a high of 25 degrees for Friday, woohoo! -Dmitriy |

I just read about that. How lame is that. I mean if this is the case, does this mean deaf people can also not cross the street? OK maybe that is not a good comparison but whatever. I mean a few people die with iPod's on and look what they propose. I think it is just coincidence they were wearing headphones. I don't think this happened when they first introduced the Walkman.

i heard the same thing is happening in HK but they are not having a law to ban anything. they just talked about it so ppl will be more careful when they cross the street. some ppl just walk by when it's a red with a phone in their hand.
