WTF is up with bimmerforums.com ?

I got 3 warning is less then a month from "mryakan". I have never received a warning in any forums before. Mryakan (the mod) got into a big argument with someone else (one of the reasons was the fact that he banned someone for something stupid) and I posted my opinion which he quickly erased and gave me another warning....WTF is wrong with the kid ?

That forum is not gonna last because of his stupidity.....I tried to help someone there and posted a link to e90post and got warring for that too.

rubbed someone ?

1st warning was for post a helpful link to e90, 2nd for saying "fuck", 3rd for writing one post in thread where Mod got into stupid 1 page long argument with another member, and so that other people would not see my post (because i was obviously right), Mod just erased it like it never happened.

Well, sounds like someone didn't read their "rules of the road":
Quote:

Some people/users have a hard time understanding the rules of the road so here is a summarized version of our standard rules. This is a basic overview, some individual forums have additional rules which are stuck at the top of each forum as well, so you may want to stop and read those as well.

* Respect one another ... we are grown adults.
* Welcome newcomers ... be nice to the newbies.
* Agree to Disagree ...
* Don't attack each other ... learn to get along with others or learn how to ignore them (either way, no fighting)
* No posts aimed at embarrassing, harassing, creating problems, belittling or otherwise designed to make others unwelcomed.
* No commercial sales unless you are a supporting vendor or have received authorization.
* Everything (content and images) must remain PG rated
* No useless posting or wasting forum resources.
* No linking to competitive sites
* No linking to images on unapproved sites
* No profanity or likeness thereof.
* English... What you are typing must make sense, be readable and coherent. No internet speak or unintelligent text.
* No Carfax requests

If you want to expand on the above topics, see the rules page. If you seek clarification on any rule, ask in the board questions/suggestions forum.
I highlighted the two sections above that got you two of those three warnings. As the final one, I can't really say....

they asked me to link to some of the posts here (site owner over there)

then mryakan gave me warnings for "illegal activities" for linking to here

I went back to all my posts with links and removed them, all were helpful to members over there, links to the manual, and some of our better help threads

bimmerforums 1 series section is basically dead now, no thanks to the heavy moderation over there, it does not matter how helpful the post or info is, mryakan wants it removed if it's from another site, he also deletes my posts with no indication of why, or warning or anything if he does not like it

the only reason I still go to bimmerforums is the e30 section and it's offtopic section

Forum is there to help people, if i have to post a link to another forum, i will. Its stupid not to allow that. And i dont think people are that dumb and cant google e90post, so who really cares if its a link or just a word.

Hitting "refresh" 24/7 to catch me break some stupid rules.....i feel sorry for the guy.

Paranoia.
The fact that they get mad if you even suggest other sites (ie. this one) shows that they're not primarily interested in supporting the BMW community. Just ignore them.

Ive been sighted on bimmerforums a couple of times for linking to 1addicts, its not my fault that most of 1 series things there have been heavily discussed here. Or for posting up that Dio was dead...yeah...the thread was closed and I got a warning.

I just stick to off-topic...its all that forum is good for.

I get that warning shit too a while back, providing link to E90post for someone who wants to see pics of E90 325/328 conversion to dual exhaust. Yeah sure I violated the rules (I admit) but seriously dude, they have minimal E9x crowd there and so I pay a lot less attention there. What can I say, some fellow members need help and so I provided link for them, and they say that's a no no!?!? Whatever, chill out, say fuck that, and move on like I did.
