Angry Hate it when I screw up.

Got in late tonight from Sandy Eggo. Stopped to grab a sub and was on a deserted backroad heading to the interstate and home. Pitch dark. Stupidly, I was not paying attention to the warning bells in my head about this being the perfect place for a bored county mountie with instant on radar. Sure enough, I got popped. This'll cost me $75-$150.

Ah well, my first in a decade at least. I can afford $15/yr to travel at decent speeds.

Thats it? Thats nothing.

I only speed when there are people around. I need somebody else to get popped to make my V1 worth while.

If you want to travel at "decent speeds" around here, it'll cost you a lot more than $15/yr (and I'm not talking tickets). The damned roads will eat your car alive long before the cops get ya.

That sucks man. I also speed a lot more with other people around so my V1 does it's job. I hated the V1 for the first 2 weeks I had it cause it was annoying as hell in the city driving to work and such... but now that it has saved me 4 times I have a new found love for it!

I wouldn't go without a radar detector now.

I never go anywhere without my Escort hanging in the window. But last night all it did was tell me I'd been nailed. Stupid of me to have been speeding on an empty road at night. Still mad at myself.

Bet it scared the crap out of you when it started going ape with the LASER ALERT war cries. Still gets me every time. I swear it induces a fight or flight response physiologically.

Yeah, if Wifey hadn't been wearing a seatbelt, she'd have bounced off the windshield.
