I am looking for a good cologne that has a fresh / aquatic scent that is not too overpowering and just another cologne that can be worn at all times. Can anyone give me some good recommendations?

Burberry has one that is a light blue, don't know the name though, but it's a good summer cologne

Polo Blue or Sean John I am King. There's also Creed's Green Irish Tweed which smells very nice (similar to Sean John). It's very expensive though at $250 or so for 3-4 oz. It also doesn't last very long. Some people said they last long while some said it only lasts a few hours. I got some samples from Neiman Marcus and noticed that it tends to fade quite a bit after about 3, maybe 4 hours or so. At the end of the day you could probably smell it if you actually sniff where you put it on. If you wanna try it out I would suggest getting a sample from Neiman Marcus and see for yourself.

Like a beach in LA, or a real beach like in the south pacific?

I've been to enough tropical places to know that sand shouldn't stick to you quite like it does on American beaches. And that "ocean smell" you are referring to, is ass water and petrolium.

To keep this on topic, its going to be difficult to hammer this one down. Everyone's body chemestry is different so things will absolutly smell differently on different people. I'd get a few solid suggestions here and then go and try them in the stores. You'll have to limit your contact because they say that you loose the ability to differentiate scents after you've tried 4-5 in a row.

You can always also just go with a nice smelling soap. There isn't a chick I know who hasn't told me that smelling "clean" isn't a turn on.

Right now I have Usher which isn't too bad, and Ed Hardy Love & Luck, which is also pretty good. I'm also a fan of Burberry Brit and Armani Code.

Creed is the best cologne around.. Favorite one I have from Creed is definitely "Green Irish Tweed" However, my smell of the month is Gucci's "Gucci" and a close second is definitely Hanae Mori. Hermes's "Terre D'Hermes" is not very well known but smells incredible. Its a very personal thing so I recommend smelling them all for your self.

One more note about colognes. Each one smells different on different people. So while it might smell good on your friend doesn't mean it's gonna smell good on you. The best thing to do would be to pick out a few you think you would like, and then go try them out.

If you want fresh/aquatic, I'd go for Bvlgari Auqa.
