Help w cleaning synthetic leather

I have had the i5 now for 13.5k miles and love it, but i feel like this year the synthetic leather is the worst/ cheapest quality. this is my 5th bmw with it and so far the worst. I had an old brown belt rub off on my seat and i even saw a small tear. This was my first time trying out white seats, probably, the last time.

What do you reccomend for cleaning them?
Also how do I fix a super small tear?

Thank you

Google "leather repair kit". But I assume they will all say clean first and I can't help with white. Lexol might work though. Good luck. You had to know white was going to be more work, but it does look nice when clean.

Sorry I don’t know if the prior post is wrong or not, but I would like to highlight that you said you have a synthetic material and not real leather. The best chemicals needed to treat either are probably different? It’s worth maybe searching for prior posts on the g05 forum for sensafin cleaning advice. I believe this material would be closer to venganza than real leather and searching for leather repair kits might not be optimal.

Yeah white/light colored seats can be tricky - my wife’s had a couple of cream leather upholstered cars and they would accumulate denim dyes if not careful.

I have read several posts on other forums that Lexol cleaner can be used on Verganza. It may also be worth googling "clean oyster BMW" or something like that.

I looked into this before ordering the Veganza seats. Several suppliers including Gyeon indicate that the leather cleaners and protectors can also safely used on synthetic leathers. Off course with the "try on a invisible part" disclaimer.

I do remember warning about this a few months ago, in a past post when someone mentioned getting the white seats. I had a Land Rover LR3 that had the light interior and it eventually got stained as we both wear denim a lot. So now we only get black seats for that reason. I guess if you never wear denim it's fine.

lol, you warned me 😂 But I will proactively be treating the interior. It’s weird, I’ve had light interiors before and never had a transfer issue.

It’s interesting because nearly everyone that I’ve seen comment on veganza, from forum members to professional reviewers, have stated they liked it better than the sensafin of previous generations .

I might however consider this product by Geist over Gyeon Ceramic coating as it has no forever chemicals.

I thought it was you, Todd, but didn't want to throw you under the bus. Lol. Seriously, though, if you never, or almost never wear denim, it shouldn't be a problem. But I pretty much always do, and I have dogs. Even though I will probably never let them in my car, It could happen. I also remember it happening with our '93 325i (It had "Parchment" Synthetic leather) and it got stained as well. That one was on purpose since we ordered it that way, but the LR3, it was what it came with. No cleaning products ever quite got it out on either car.

Yeah, it’s a rarity for me tbh. I’m usually in a pare of khakis, cargos, or something similarly casual, and it’s rare for me to have passengers. I’ll do the coating as a protection layer, for occasional guests.

Now go get the bus print off my back! 😜

Just don't run up and hug your car and say "Finally! My Precious." Cause that would just be embarrassing. Lol.
