Travel and comfort installing after delivery

Hi everyone,

Got myself a G61 eDrive 40. Love the car very much.
One thing I didnt order was the ‘travel pack’ which has the travel and comfort function in the back of the seat.

I regret not ordering this to be honest and consider installing it still. Has anyone tried this, is it complicated?

Is the electrics involved plug-and-play or does this require adjusting cables etc?

For reference a picture of the seats having the option and a picture of my car.

Tips for doing this are very welcome!
Additional tips to place iPad holders otherwise, are welcome too.

There is also a BMW oem attachment to install between the two rods of the headrest. In this attachment you can use the same accessories as with the travel pack.

Yeah had that, it doesn’t fit anymore.
I used it in my G21 series but the bars of the headrest are to close together. So it seems only the factory solution works..

Thanks for thinking with my anyways.

Oh, didn't even know that...

I didn't even know the seats could come without those holes in the back of the seats. It was not an option for the 2024 US cars. I don't think there are any electrics involved, it's just a "dumb" receptacle for attachments as far as I know, unless you're referring to the USB ports.

There is also an USB port around the holes. But those are also available on the back center console off course.

Yeah, now as in the past, BMW has different options and Standard items for different countries. For example, in the US we have either a sliding sunroof, or the glass Panoramic roof. But there is no option for a solid roof. In Spain, you can get it with a solid roof or the panoramic glass. I don't think you can get the sliding sunroof at all.

I don't know if it's still the case, but when I bought my 325i back in 93, the Spanish models came without a Sunroof, Cloth seats, and only the front windows were electric, the back ones were crank. US models had Sunroof, Leatherette seats, and all 4 windows were electric, but a radio was an additional $600, and Cruise control was optional, as were fog lights.
