First of all, thanks to the posters as I've been on here for months doing research.

We put in a custom order for an i5 eDrive 40 This will be our first EV and our first BMW, and will be my wife's new daily driver. She has a long backroad commute and we figured she would be an ideal EV candidate, as we can charge at home.

Our custom order:

M Sport package with 20" wheels

Luxury seating package
Bowers & Wilkins sound
Panoramic roof

In case it helps anyone else shopping, we got 8% off MSRP + $1500 corporate cash + $7500 EV lease credit.

It appears we should have the car by late November. I guess I will start doing research on what type of charger to install.

You are sort of like me - I'm a first time BMW owner and first time EV owner too. Took delivery in March 2024 and still very happy with my choice.

If you're looking at what charger to install, I recommend the State of Charge YouTube channel if you haven't already found it. His charger reviews are excellent and quite thorough.
